In 1993 with a fully staffed art department, MetalWorks etc. a custom manufacturer of patent plaques, began a Patent Plaque Program for a local Fortune 500 company. The success of that program and the foresight to see a need for IP awards, MetalWorks began developing a line of high quality patent plaques for the IP market.

In 1996 our patent plaques arrived on the World Wide Web. With business increasing steadily due to our high quality patent plaques and fair pricing, MetalWorks etc. opened an online store to streamline the process of ordering plaques and cutting down production time to 5 working days.
